What’s the Difference Between Brown Eggs and White Eggs?

The main difference between a brown egg and a white egg is the breed.  Depending on the feed and care of the chickens, nutritionally, they can be the same. The reason you see mostly white eggs at the store is because the chickens that lay white eggs (usually white leghorns) are typically smaller and more feed efficient. This allows for close enclosed living quarters and the best product they can produce for the least amount of money.
